چکیده
In order to reduce the downlink training overhead of mmWave communications, we propose a novel beamforming strategy using uplink sub-6GHz channel and pilots that are sent from few active antennas. Specifically, design dual-input neural network architecture, called FusionNet, merge The proposed fusion model could intelligently adjust attention paid (by network) for by an mechanism. output FusionNet represents probability each beam being optimal one. We also antenna selection can choose better antennas send pilots, in which gradient vector is approximated vector. Simulation results demonstrate superior performance compared existing one purely relies on information or shallow directly adds uniform pilots.

Partially Blind Handovers for mmWave New Radio Aided by Sub-6 GHz LTE Signaling
We propose to estimate mmWave received signal power levels using supervised machine learning and LTE signal measurements in sub-6 GHz bands. Contributions of this paper include 1) introduction of partially blind handovers, 2) demonstration that LTE measurements from sub-6 GHz LTE bands can help improve handover to mmWave frequency bands, and 3) an algorithm to improve handover success rates usi...
متن کاملMassive MIMO in Sub-6 GHz and mmWave: Physical, Practical, and Use-Case Differences
The use of base stations (BSs) and access points (APs) with a large number of antennas, called Massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output), is a key technology for increasing the capacity of 5G networks and beyond. While originally conceived for conventional sub-6GHz frequencies, Massive MIMO (mMIMO) is ideal also for frequency bands in the range 30-300GHz, known as millimeter wave (mmWave). ...
متن کاملMachine-Learning-Based Future Received Signal Strength Prediction Using Depth Images for mmWave Communications
This paper discusses a machine-learning (ML)based future received signal strength (RSS) prediction scheme using depth camera images for millimeter-wave (mmWave) networks. The scheme provides the future RSS prediction of any mmWave links within the camera’s view, including links where nodes are not transmitting frames. This enables network controllers to conduct network operations before line-of...
متن کاملChannel equalisation for OFDM using scattered pilots
Introduction Channel equalisation for OFDM signals is an important aspect for achieving good communication performance. Several OFDM based standards, like the European standard DVB-T and the Japanese standard ISDB-T, have adopted the approach of inserting scattered pilots in each transmitted OFDM symbols for some of the modulation modes. Since the data modulated on these scattered pilots are pr...
متن کاملCoverage Enhancement for mmWave Communications using Passive Reflectors
Millimeter wave (mmWave) technology is expected to dominate the future 5G networks mainly due to large spectrum available at these frequencies. However, coverage deteriorates significantly at mmWave frequencies due to higher path loss, especially for the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenarios. In this work, we explore the use of passive reflectors for improving mmWave signal coverage in NLOS indoor...
